Why Everyone Is Talking About Being Your Own Bank (And You Should Too)

Listen, if you’re like most of the guys I talk to: the welders, the barbers, the HVAC techs, and the shop owners who actually build this country: you’re tired of the "Behemoth." You know who I’m talking about. It’s that big, cold building on the corner with the marble pillars. The bank.
You work ten-hour days, put in the sweat equity, and then what? You hand your paycheck over to them. They give you a measly 0.01% interest while they turn around and lend your money back to your neighbor at 8%, 12%, or 20%. They’re getting rich off your discipline.
It’s time to stop playing their game. It’s time to look at your money through a Warrior’s Lens. Today, we’re talking about "Family Banking": a way to fire the bank and start doing for yourself what they’ve been doing with your money for decades.
The Farmer’s Wisdom: The Two Piles
Think of your finances like a farm. Every dollar you earn is a seed. Most people have their seeds in two different piles, but they don't realize how different those piles are.

Pile #1: The Rusty Scrap (Bad Debt)
This is your consumer debt. The credit cards, the high-interest truck loans, the "buy now, pay later" traps. This pile is like a heap of rusted-out chains in the corner of the barn. It doesn't produce anything. It just sits there, getting heavier and harder to move. Every time you pay interest to the Behemoth on this pile, you’re throwing good seeds into a fire. This is a violation of the Law of Stewardship. You’re being a slave to the lender, and that’s not what you were built for.
Pile #2: The Tractor (The Productive Asset)
Now, imagine a different pile. This one is a brand-new, powerful tractor. It’s a tool. It costs money to get, sure, but that tractor produces wealth. It plows the field, it hauls the load, and it makes every hour you work more valuable.
In our world, that "tractor" is a Customized Whole Life Policy structured for Family Banking. This isn't your grandpa's life insurance. This is a strategic tool designed to build cash value that you can use while you’re still breathing. Instead of begging the bank for a loan to buy your next work truck, you "borrow" from your own policy. You pay yourself the interest. You keep the seed in your own barn.
The Warrior-Steward Framework
At My Business Is Your Business / All Into Life, we don't just talk about "retirement." We talk about Stewardship.
Money isn't the root of all evil: it’s a tool of the Covenant. Being a "Warrior-Steward" means you treat your finances as a test of trustworthiness (like it says in Luke 16:11). If you can’t manage the "unrighteous mammon," who’s going to trust you with the real stuff?
We see it as a spiritual responsibility to protect your family’s legacy. When you stop paying interest to the Behemoth and start paying it to your own "Family Bank," you’re reclaiming your identity. You’re moving from a "receiver" of the bank’s terms to a "sender" of your own destiny. We believe that speaking your goals out loud aligns your biology with your consciousness. When you declare, "I am the bank for my family," your actions start to follow that identity.
Strategic Growth: The Sword and the Shield
When we design these strategies, we look for the "Best of Both Worlds." You need a Shield to protect what you’ve built, and a Sword to grow it.

Most people think you have to choose: you either get safety (low growth) or you get growth (high risk). That’s a myth. Through what we call Strategic Growth, we show you how to participate in the upside of the market while holding onto a "Guaranteed Safety" net.
Your Money Doubles Every 2.5 Years
Let’s talk about "Wealth Capacity." Have you ever heard of the Rule of 72? It’s a simple math trick to see how fast your money doubles. If you’re achieving an annual average growth of 28.9%, your money is doubling every 2.5 years (72 ÷ 28.9 ≈ 2.5).
Think about that for a second. In a decade, your wealth has the potential to double four times.
Compare that to the old "Buy Term and Invest the Difference" (BTID) model. In that world, you’re exposed. When the market crashes: like it did in 2008 or the early 2000s: you lose 40% of your pile. Then you have to spend the next five years just getting back to zero. A Warrior doesn't have time for that. We use the 0% Floor Shield. When the market drops, your shield goes up. You don't lose a dime of your principal. You keep your capital preserved so when the market climbs again, you’re starting from the top, not the bottom of a hole.
Why Whole Life for Banking?
You might hear people talking about IULs (Indexed Universal Life) for growth, and we use those for specific "Asset Armor" strategies. But when it comes to the Family Banking Strategy, we stick to Customized Whole Life.
Why? Because a bank needs to be predictable.
Guarantees: You know exactly what your floor is.
Control: You are the one who decides when and how to pay back your policy loans.
Liquidity: You can get to your cash when you need it: for a new piece of equipment, a family emergency, or a down payment: without jumping through the Behemoth’s hoops.
You’re doing for yourself what the banks do with your money. You’re reclaiming the interest. You’re building a legacy that the government and the big banks can’t touch.
